Ravine Kolden

Production Manager

Ravine grew up in Viroqua, WI and has been in the organic and regenerative farming realm for most of her life. Right after graduating from Laurel High School, she went to college at Fairhaven College in Bellingham, Washington. There she designed her own degree in ecology, renewable energy, and social justice. A notable achievement was her senior project where she designed and taught a 10 week long university level course on composting methods and basic soil science. After getting her bachelors, Ravine worked one season at an Italian herb and vegetable farm in the Skagit Valley in Washington, and a season at a diversified vegetable seed saver farm in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. She now is now back to her Wisconsin roots and is trying out no-till for the first time. She loves the community at Wonka’s and the emphasis on soil health. Ravines other hobbies include mushroom and plant identification, foraging, herbalism, climbing mountains (and bluffs), playing the banjo, and ecstatic dance. In the future, Ravine would love to start up an operation growing perennial grains, bulk herbs like oats and mullein, and incorporate regenerative poultry into her agro-ecosystem.
