Farm Manager
Anna is a PhD student at UW Madison who studies contemporary Latinx and Indigenous performance art and artists through the lenses of performance studies, visual cultures, and Indigenous knowledges. If you ever want to talk about art at the farmers market, come find Anna! She has been farming in and around Madison for almost five years now. As a personal practice, she appreciates farming for the satisfaction of seeing a process through and experiencing the tangible results in real time, unlike working on school forever. On a deeper level, her agricultural work is guided by a strong belief in the importance of food and farming as community-based and political practices. When she’s not at work, you can find her caring for the small zoo that occupies her home (including 3 cats, 4 chickens, and a bunch of fish), dreaming up a new self-taught carpentry project, or blasting Green Day with the windows down in her “plasma green” Subaru named Lemmy. She’s so glad to be joining the Wonka’s team!
